David Matlock: Music has always been woven into the fabric of David Matlock's life. Raised in a musical household where both parents played and sang, David grew up surrounded by a love for music that would shape his entire journey. That passion runs deep in the family — his sister, Karla Taylor, is a gifted musician in her own right and secured an album deal with Curb Records in the 1990s.

David's formal introduction to music came in the fifth grade when he picked up the trumpet, an instrument he carried through his school years. At 18, he taught himself to play guitar — entirely self-taught — and discovered a voice that would eventually find its true calling in Christian music. Committing his musical gifts to the Lord, David joined a worship team in the early 1990s, a decision that set the course for his life's work.

Throughout the 90s and into the early 2000s, David played guitar and sang in a band that gained real momentum, performing at local venues in the Nashville area and sharing the stage with Grammy Award-winning artist Speech, the founding member of Arrested Development, at a notable concert in Atlanta. It was during this vibrant season that David began writing songs in earnest.

He continued serving on worship teams throughout the 2000s before a significant chapter took him to Hawaii in 2016. For three years, he played in a band with a regular gig in Honolulu and performed at special events across the island, bringing his music to a whole new community.

After returning to the mainland in 2020, David stepped back from music for a time, but in 2024 he reignited his pursuit — one driven by purpose and faith. Today, he plays alongside local Christian artist Candace Sutter, supporting her ministry while actively writing new material and pressing deeper into his personal calling to glorify God through the gift of music.

Wesley Pelle: Wesley Pelle is a songwriter and performer who has been crafting original songs for more than 14 years. Rooted in folk, Americana, and country, his music is inspirational and faith-based, often centered on themes of hope, reconciliation, and redemption. Wesley has been performing both cover songs and original material at restaurants, churches, and coffee shops since 1983.

Troy Stavros (Host): Troy Cross (artist name) is an East Tennessee Americana/Roots Country artist and songwriter whose timeless acoustic style turns everyday struggles into songs of hard-won hope. As a recording artist, Troy blends Country, Americana, Bluegrass, and Gospel influences into story-first writing that feels lived-in and honest. For Troy, music is a calling. His faith shapes the foundation of his work, but he delivers it through characters and scenes that welcome both lifelong believers and those still searching for what’s missing. Whether he’s singing a quiet ballad or an uplifting anthem, Troy’s songs aim to tell the truth with tenderness, offering dignity, encouragement, and a clear reminder that no one is alone in the fight. But he's also not afraid of infusing his humor into songs either. On stage and on record, Troy creates a space where faith meets Roots music and hope feels within reach.
