MARCH SONGWRITERS

Meet The Songwriters

Crystal Dougan: Bio coming soon....

Chris Long: Chris Long is a performing singer-songwriter out of Kingsport, Tennessee. He grew up around music and performed in bands with his father in Southwest, Virginia, but transitions to solo acoustic shows about ten years ago. Now, Chris performs regularly all over the southeast in venues ranging from theatres to intimate listening rooms. Chris blends his roots rock musical style with Americana storytelling to produce a sound dubbed by some as Appalachiacana. His music tells stories of hope, history, and struggle. Sometimes with a little gator infused swamp rock thrown in the mix. His music has resulted in numerous radio and television appearances as well as features in music publications and print media. For Chris it’s all about being out playing and the music.

Will Kruger: Will Kruger shares a style that recalls many of his earliest folk music influences, among them, Peter, Paul and Mary, Simon & Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot, John Denver and James Taylor in particular.

He's toured nationally, sharing his "Folk Legend's Tribute Show" at house concerts, libraries, conservation events, coffee houses, corporate functions and larger auditoriums in addition to appearances at a number of Nashville venues.

Four of his songs were featured in the films, "God Where Are You" and "Grace Of The Father." In addition, he played the part of Noel Paul Stookey in the nationally touring Las Vegas tribute group, "Peter Paul & Mary Alive," for several years.

Kruger, who performs regularly in East Tennessee at The Smoky Mountain Brewery, The Listening Room Cafe, Calhoun's, and The Abbey, said he's been playing music over 50 years. "Music can convey emotion on so many levels," he said. "Music does that for me. The songs that I write touch on love, relationships, and faith. If I can communicate those things with my audience and touch their hearts, then all the work that I do is well worth it. I have a saying: 'Have I ever told you how much I love music?"'

Troy Stavros (Host): Troy’s ability to craft songs that connect with both artists and audiences has brought his music to listeners worldwide. From international artists to award-winning songs featured in independent films, his work resonates on a global scale. Troy’s songs not only inspire but also elevate the projects they’re a part of, making him a sought-after collaborator in the entertainment industry. Whether penning heartfelt ballads or crafting high-energy anthems, Troy Stavros began releasing songs in December 2025 under the artist name of Troy Cross and each has song made their way to the top of the RadioMusicDJ Hot Top 100 chart as he continues to leave an indelible mark on the music world, one song at a time.
