"The Genesis Sessions: Where Songs Begin", because every song has a story, and every story begins with Him.

Lori Lynn: Lori Lynn’s story echoes the music she sings...woven with joy and sorrow, shaped by resilience, and guided by the good-hearted pursuit of a lifelong calling. Her earliest memories are filled with music. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, and raised in rural East Texas, Lori loved to sing for anyone who visited her family’s home, often making the fireplace hearth her stage. By age five, she was singing regularly in church, and by ten, she had earned her first paycheck for her vocals. At thirteen, she became a praise and worship leader in her father’s church, while also performing at state fairs and talent shows, taking advantage of every opportunity given to her.
In her teenage years, Lori appeared on the Louisiana Hayride, the iconic Shreveport radio and stage show that helped launch the careers of Hank Williams Sr. and Elvis Presley. Years later, she would share her voice once again with a national audience through Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry Gospel Hour. However, her personal life presented significant challenges. At eighteen, Lori married young... a union marked by hardship. Her husband’s battles with addiction eventually led to prison, leaving Lori to raise their small children on her own. She moved first to Tulsa and then to Nashville, where she built a career as a studio track singer and performed in local clubs.
Her perseverance eventually paid off. Lori began performing regularly on a Christian cable television show and met legendary producer Billy Sherrill, known for his work with George Jones, Tammy Wynette, and Tanya Tucker, who recorded one of her songs. While singing at a South Knoxville club, Lori met Bruno Williams, a musician who had worked with Waylon Jennings. Though Waylon passed on hiring her, Bruno didn’t; he fell for her voice and her spirit. They married, became musical partners, and spent years touring together, performing everywhere up and down the East Coast and Midwest, from honky-tonks to cruise ships.
Tragedy struck in 2021 when Bruno lost his battle with ALS. Within weeks, Lori also lost her mother, mother-in-law, sister, and grandson. What might have broken others, she transformed into song, turning her pain into messages of hope, faith, and endurance. Inspired by their mother’s strength, her sons Shane, Jacob, and Blake formed a family band, Appalachian Moon. Together, they are still performing regularly, making their living playing original songs as well as their favorite country, southern rock, and blues classics. Their talent hasn’t gone unnoticed; in both 2023 and 2024, the North American Country Music Association International (N.A.C.M.A.I.) named Appalachian Moon the New Modern Country Band of the Year, while Lori earned honors as Songwriter of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, and Vocalist of the Year.
Kevin Mahoney: Kevin Mahoney is a singer-songwriter whose expressive lyrics and commanding voice speak directly to the soul. Over a 20-year career, he’s built a reputation as a mesmerizing live performer, blending folk, rock, soul, and Americana into something distinctly his own, music that defies easy categorization but always hits its mark. A jaw-dropping guitarist with a unique percussive style paired with a powerful, show-stopping voice, Kevin crafts songs that are equal parts story, emotion, and social commentary. His work tackles the complexity of the human condition with unflinching honesty while offering hope, empowering audiences through challenging narratives that resonate deeply. Beyond the stage, Kevin is a tireless advocate for justice and human rights, using his platform to raise awareness for overlooked causes and forgotten voices. His commitment to making a difference, however small, through music and activism defines both his artistry and character. A master craftsman driven by passion and love for his trade, Kevin continues to write, sing, and play from the heart. As he tells his audience: “You keep turning up and so will I.“
Darrell Wallace: Darrell is a 10 time award nominee and an international award winning singer songwriter from East Tennessee. His dynamic style engages audiences where ever he plays. He is a member of the International Singer Songwriters' Association and the Tennessee Songwriters' Association. After meandering through a couple of states and several cities, he headed to Nashville. He found himself as one of the up and coming writers with numerous appearances at the Bluebird Cafe. Nashville never found a niche for Darrell's eclectic style. However, in 2023 he was awarded Musician of The Year by Fairplay Country Music Awards and in July of the same year, Darrell had his first #1 co-write for the song Hope Wins (Independent Music Chart) .
Darrell's early musical influences were Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steve Earle and all of the Out Law Country folks, Waylon, Willie, etc. Today he is living the dream (the life of a rock star), playing venues throughout the south, parts of the north and Europe!! His music is mixed with sounds of Folk, Americana and Country Rock(ish). He currently lives in Spring City, TN writing songs, playing music and loving life on the lake with his amazing wife!!!
Troy Stavros (Host): Troy’s ability to craft songs that connect with both artists and audiences has brought his music to listeners worldwide. From international artists to award-winning songs featured in independent films, his work resonates on a global scale. Troy’s songs not only inspire but also elevate the projects they’re a part of, making him a sought-after collaborator in the entertainment industry. Whether penning heartfelt ballads or crafting high-energy anthems, Troy Stavros began releasing songs in December 2025 under the artist name of Troy Cross and each has song made their way to the top of the RadioMusicDJ Hot Top 100 chart as he continues to leave an indelible mark on the music world, one song at a time.
